Beware of the boys

Something I learnt today: What the boys really get up to
Something that made me laugh today: Breaking into Marcus's house

Yesterday was somewhat of a hectic day. I awoke and drove off to Ronald McDonald House which was just it's normal hectic self. I wrote an article about the Monash Inspiration Award which is going to get published in the newsletter. Don't I feel cool?

From there I went on Ed's place where we watched a movie then played pool. The original plan was that when we left Ed's, the girls would come back to my place and the boys would go to Marcus's (he wanted a boys night, I just wanted people over).

The girls who remained were Marlene, Kylie and myself. So we thought, why bother? Let's go to boys night as well. And so Ed (the only remaining boy) clambered into Kylie's car, and off we went.

Ed walks in the front door at around 10.30. We wander around the side of the house and find the side gate locked. We try the other side of the house and find the garage door locked. We knock on the lounge room window and try to get Marcus's little brother to let us in. He tries, but it's apparently a difficult task, because he fails miserably.

I wind up jumping the fence and opening the side gate from the other side. Success.

We start peaking in windows and trying to formulate a plan to get inside and suprise the boys. What do we see?

A girl.

We were outraged.

We continue to sneak around and formulate and wind up calling out Marcus's name until he opens the back door and comes outside at which point we throw a sheet over him and attempt to tackle him to the ground while Kylie had the brilliant idea of jamming a broom in the door so the boys didn't lock us out and well, some part of Marcus got in the way. It was 11.30 at this point.

As they always say to us, what happens on boys night, stays on boys night, so I've got to curb down the detail at this point. But, it did happen at boys night until 5am or so, at which point I fell asleep on a couch. When we awoke the remaining boys attempted to "put me in my place" by making me clean up all the mess that they had made before I actually arrived.

I went home.
