I'm to sexy for my shirt

Something I learnt yesterday: How to snowboard
Something that made me laugh yesterday: Learning to snow board.

Monday night. Finish work, eat, go to Lin's. We watch Monster in Law and then go to sleep about 11.30 - 12 with the background noise of Lin's flatmate tapping away on his keyboard (look whose talking now).

4.30am. The alarm rings. I groan.

The people arrive and ew all leave again. Eventually we make it up to Mount Buller. Shirls, Lin and I all sign up for a beginners lesson, which we completely fail to arrive at without the guidance of three members of staff.

Even as part of said lesson, I was able to laugh at it. Anyone who has ever watched a wildlife documentary will be able to relate to the site of a group of beginners trying to stand up on a snow board on a slanted pile of snow for the first time. Much like a group of lion cubs trying to find their legs just after birth, struggling to understand muscles and neurons while fighting the complete lack of friction provided by the liquid contents of the uterus.

Anyway. We struggled through that and eventually reached the bottom of the mountain again. Back on the chair lift to retrieve the jackets we abandoned due to the unexpected sunshine which had, in fact, melted all the emergency chocolate bars stashed in the pockets of the aforementioned jacket. Not to worry, they had frozen again by the time I tried to eat them.

We lunched. We boarded. We fell over (A LOT!) We threw snowballs at each other. Lin, as it turns out, was too sexy for his shirt, as he lost it on the mountain. We were told that the chair lifts were being turned off so we headed back home.

We complained about pain all the way back to Lin's place. I made Dennis stop the car at one point due to cramps at three different locations in my left leg so that I could get out and stretch.

I went home and slept solidly for 12 hours. I've not slept that well in a very long time.

This morning I could hardly move. Boo.
