Crying Freedom
Something I learnt today: Across the globe two barbie dolls are sold every second.
Something that made me laugh today: Corny Starwars dialogue.
Finally exams are over. I’ve managed to spend some time drinking and playing poker, watching TV, you know, things I *like* doing.
Today was my first total day of freedom, what with work on Monday and McHouse on Friday. But, I still found myself under house arrest for most of the day. Men came to replace some flooring, men came to install a hand railing and later on in the day a plumber came over as well.
Despite all this, I still managed to escape and see the new Star Wars film. It took me long enough, given my original plan involved a midnight session on opening night.
So, after all that jazz the exams went ok. I’m starting to be concerned about the fact that I maybe didn’t write enough in Microbiology but it is now somewhat out of my control and I really just have to deal with it, don’t I?
So…What have I actually done since the end of exams? Sarah’s birthday party. We all ate food, got drunk and danced about to Blink 182 and the Gorillaz all night. Friday I hung out with my sister and *finally* saw Team America. Saturday I worked and then went to Djaja’s place (I should note that I beat the man home…) where we all drank again and played poker using Marlene’s $3 per kilo dried banana chips as the betting chips. Sunday night I went to visit Gemma and ate souvlaki on a pizza for dinner while watching videos and chilling out. Spent 30 minutes asleep in her lounge room when at 3 am one of her clocks promptly reminded me of its presence, prompting me to move down to the front room.
Monday I went home and started moving furniture around so the floors could be done. Then I went to work (I’d like to remind you all I had a stick class on Sunday) and then went home to move more furniture, which I’ve now returned to original locations. My arms/back are getting just a little bit sick of this.
I like holidays.
