I guess it's just another night alone
Something I learnt today: Episode IV by Jimmy Eat World is described as their "greatest love song" I don't like it any more.
Something that made me laugh today: Various other blogs on the web
I'm well aware of the fact that I haven't updated this in years. Sorry. It's the exams. Nasty things they are.
I had one yesterday for a subject called "Genome Science" which I thought went very well. After which Marlene, Tara and myself went on a quest for Tim Tam Drumsticks and wound up with a box of Snickers Pods, a bag of cheese and bacon balls and a block of Old Gold chocolate (which I currently happen to be consuming).
So then I got home and began to look at my Microbiology revision. Microbiology, my final exam and the one for which I have to do the most work (I suppose this goes without saying because it is the only subject for which I currently can do work) given that I slept through half the lectures.
I'd like to point out I didn't actually *do* any revision at this point in time, I merely looked at it.
What I did do was walk to the train station, take a train to South Yarra and wander into the Duke of Windsor five minutes before the Sparrows were allegedly going to start performing. At this point the Goo Fangs (or something) were still performing and didn't leave the stage for a good 20 minutes. (It's beyond me why Badger never knows when he's supposed to be playing). Not that I'm complaining, they were actually a very good band. I must remember to do a google search for them.
Not much interesting came out of the concert (compared to previous Sparrow's shows at the Duke at least) but the boys performed very well, even if only 1 guitar was in tune and Brett dropped a drum stick at the end of "Thought you should know."
Live music makes me so happy. It's going to take all my strength not to go watch them again next week. Given the micro exam being thursday morning, spending Wednesday night in a very loud pub seems somewhat of a bad idea.
